I am from Avon Lake. I went to ALHS, John Carroll University for my bachelors and Ohio University for my masters. I switched majors 3 times in college, landed on teaching and my whole family said "I told you so". I have been teaching for 7 years. I live in Lakewood with my cute dog Marley, where we faithfully cheer on the Browns!

Favorite Saint: 

My favorite saint is St. Anthony because I always think of my grandma when I pray for lost items.

 

Favorite Religious Holiday:

My favorite religious holiday is Christmas because I have the most special family and school memories at that time of year.

 

Favorite Bible Story or Passage:

My favorite Bible story is the Nativity because I get to teach that as a play to my first grade class every year.

Why SJS? 

I love the community at SJS. Between staff, family and students, everyone cares about each other so much. It shines in all we do.

What were the qualities of your favorite teacher growing up? 

Mrs. Sobol, Mrs. Hanna and Mrs. Hallett were my favorite teachers growing up at Avon Lake. They inspired me to love reading and writing. Their kind loving classrooms are something I still try emulate to this day.
