I have lived in Ohio most of my life. I moved to Louisville, KY after I got married but we missed family and moved back and now reside in Westlake. I have been married to my husband Peter for 28 years. We have four amazing daughters, Hannah is 24, Brooke is 22, Jillian is 21 and Jenna is 19. We also have a 3 year old golden doodle named Paczki. (Yes the fat jelly donut you eat on Fat Tuesday). Family is very important to me. I am the youngest of 8 children and my husband is 1 of 18 children. Thanksgiving dinner for the Kowalski’s means setting a table for 100+ people. I have been teaching for a total of 13 years. I taught 2nd grade in Olmsted Falls after I graduated from college. I chose to stay home to raise my daughters. When I returned to teaching it was in a preschool classroom in Westlake.

Favorite Religious Holiday: 

My favorite religious holiday is Christmas because I love all the traditions that my family has.

Why SJS? 

This is my first year at SJS. Everyone has made me feel very welcome and have been so helpful.

What were the qualities your favorite teacher had growing up?

I had so many great teachers in my life that I can’t pick just one. Some of their best qualities were their ability to push me to do more and be more while also being kind and willing to listen.

I love a good antipasto salad.

I LOVE to read.
